How to Make Fruit Kebabs – a Healthy Potluck Dessert

I’m not sure that this actually qualifies as a ‘recipe’ – it’s more of an ‘assembly’ but it’s delicious, fun and healthy (not to mention, a very pretty way to serve a variety or fruit).

Think fruit salad on a stick! 

It’s also incredibly convenient to transport and eat!

No need for any bowls,  spoons or even plates which make it perfect for parties and potlucks.

Jazz them up!

You can also plate these little beauties and jazz them up with a natural fruit puree, like mango.

Just whizz fresh mango in a blender until it’s smooth and drizzle it around the plate and you’ll have a stunningly elegant (and still totally healthy) dessert!

HOW TO MAKE FRUIT KEBABS

There isn’t really a rule to what you make them with, or what you serve them with so go wild – your imagination is the limit!

Here are a few delicious ideas to get you started…

Super Berry Fruit Kebabs

Strawberries, blueberries, cherries, raspberries (served with a cooked and blended cherry puree… add a few drops of stevia or a spoon of honey to sweeten the cherry puree)

Healthy Muslimah Favourite Fruit Kebabs

Mango, blueberries and pitted cherries

Tropical Fruit Kebabs

Pineapple, mango, tangerine segments (served with mango sorbet or banana ice-cream)

Melon Fruit Kebabs

Sweet melon, watermelon, orange melon

Even the super simple but guaranteed winner, the Watermelon Kebab

Watermelon cubes (served with a slice of line and mint leaves). Lime drizzled on watermelon is amazing… sounds crazy but it genuinely is delicious! Give it a try!
